The self contained Biological Indicator (BI) FOR 1210c GRAVITY / 1320c vaccum-assisted steam cycles consists of a B. stearothermophilus spore-strip , sealed glass ampoule with purple growth medium and pH indicator system; brown color- coded cap with holes for sterilant penetration and a hydrophobic filter as a bacterial barrier, and a chemical indicator on the label that changes from rose to brown when processed. After sterilization , the vial is “crushed” to join the growth media and processed spore-strip—and incubated for 48 hours for a visual color change readout.

The self contained biological indicator (BI) for all EO cycles consists of a B. subtilus spore strip; sealed glass ampule with green growth medium and pH indicator system green color-coded cap with holes for sterilant penetration and a tyvek filter as a bacterial barrier, and a chemical indicator on the label that changes from red to green when processed. After sterilization, the vial is “crushed” to join the growth media and processed spore strip and incubated for 48 hours for a visual color change readout
